The purpose of the award is to foster a spirit of community service amongst your junior players (under 18 years), of which a perpetual trophy (supplied by Rotary) would be presented at the end of the season to a deserving team member who has demonstrated such traits of service in their participation and commitment to their team or the club as a whole.

Award to be presented to the winner (at end of year awards night).

Award Selection Criteria

Recognition for sporting achievement is generally well supported within a club environment. We would like to provide recognition for other individuals who may not necessarily be athletically outstanding but nevertheless demonstrate excellent community leadership skills worthy of this meritorious award.

A young person (deemed as under 18 years old) would become a suitable candidate if:

“Through their personal initiative, enthusiasm and diligent efforts over the club year they provide support and service to their club, or local community; either to individuals, groups, or the environment for their betterment in a manner that could be described as outstanding by comparison to their peers.”

Club Participation

The Rotary Club of Modbury Golden Grove requests that the sporting club seek nominations of young people to be considered for this award, and determine the winning nomination based on the selection criteria.

Rotary Club Participation

Rotary Club of Modbury Golden Grove will present the winner with an award certificate and a perpetual trophy with Name and Year engraved, in recognition of their achievement and a monetary prize of $250.00

The perpetual trophy must retained by the soccer club on display in their club rooms, as an annual award.

Additionally, the winner will be invited to attend a Rotary Club of Modbury Golden Grove meeting as a guest, along with an adult or family to celebrate their award with the club.
